2018 Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc

The 3rd release of our single vineyard wine is from the 2018 vintage. The wine was matured in 225l French oak barrels for 16 months, of which 50% were new. It achieved 89/100 in the 2022 Platter ratings with Cape Wine Master, Winnie Bowman, making the following comment:”This boutique vineyard is big on flavour in 2018, Cab Franc taking the lead at 55% & showing its cool leafiness along with blackcurrant, cedar & fragrant fynbos. Pure & intense flavours in an elegant, poised structure, with lovely vivacity” Drink now or will mature well for at least 8 years.
